2 Timothy 3

My old watch broke a while back I need a new one

So I was looking up some watches on ebay the other day

I’m not sure about you if that's what you do as well it can become a little addictive

But I like looking at the photos and the details

That watch

            It’s got to be analogue

It’s got to have a second hand

Tell me the date, day preferably too

It’s got to be robust, my watches get a beating

Yet it’s also got to be elegant enough

that I can wear it out and about

maybe even my Christmas shopping family are listening in at the moment

as I was pouring over web page after web page of photos of watches

2 Timothy 2

At home I like to run a vege garden

            Nothing beats fresh grown vege’s

Sometimes my vege patch throws me

as some years I’m able to go about getting a crop in

other years I simply can’t find the time to get that done

so some years like this year getting through all the weeds and the grass runners and turning over the soil and hoeing the beds for the seeds and seedlings is nothing short of hard work

Isaiah 64-66  Reading Isaiah 65

Imagine everyone of us is now on a plane

If I told you at some point soon you’ll have to jump out of the plane & you’re handed a parachute,

would you take the parachute?

It might not sound as silly as I said it

For some people that’s what they think looking to God for the life I live now and the life still to come feels like

Luke 13:6-9

How many times do you feel ambushed by Jesus

When you hear a parable he gave

Do we even still listen in when they are read

If we’ve been around churches for a long time

We let the words drip off us like rain drops

Today is one of the smallest parables we’ll ever read

Isaiah 64:1-12

Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898-1972) is one of the world's most famous graphic artists.

Somehow this guy can draw in a way that does our heads in

People on staircases that go downwards and upwards at the same

Hands that keep drawing themselves

Isaiah 58:1-12

I have been most challenged by a question recently it’s this

where  in my life am I showing that Jesus is enough

How would you go at answering that?

How do you see Jesus as enough in your life

I am beginning to see in so many situations God is placing me in

That they are for me to see how

                        Jesus is to be enough

Luke 12:13-21

In the movie Wall Street that screened over two decades ago now,

The main character Gordon Gekko’s slogan was

Greed is good we had another recently in the wolf of wall street

It was in some ways it was a prophetic voice

back in 2007 the World’s financial market

                        came crashing down

that introduced a new acronym the GFC

            Global Financial Crisis
